TOURISM IN PROTECTED AREAS /ECOTOURISM
Ensuring the existence of nature reserves in the long term is of great importance not only ecologically, but economically as well, for properly regulated tourism development in attractive nature reserves can contribute to the development of new sources of income for the nature reserve authorities and the local population.
However, this requires professional planning and sustainable management of tourism in nature reserves, as well as close cooperation between the local actors involved in the tourism development of the respective region. mas|contour has implemented several projects in this area, including the identification of appropriate sources of financing for the tourism development of nature reserves.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR)
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) involves much more than fund-raising activities for relief projects. Rather, it is about a company’s voluntary contribution to ecological and social sustainability. This includes not only corporate environmental protection, but also activities in the areas of consumer protection, ecological product responsibility and the protection of labour rights. The implementation of these CSR activities in all areas of the supply chain, including hotels, transport companies and local travel agencies, poses a significant challenge to the tourism sector.
Drawing on years of experience in dealing with issues of sustainability, mas|contour provides consulting services concerning both the technical and methodological aspects in the introduction of CSR, including CSR reporting, to tourism businesses and their contractual partners.
