  • Identification and definition of the main source markets (Germany, Great Britain, Netherlands, USA, China) and competing destinations (Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe)
  • Research, evaluation, interpretation and summary of relevant studies and indicators for all countries examined
  • Conducting a tour operator survey in the most relevant source markets of Malawi (questionnaire development, data gathering via online tool, data evaluation, reporting)
  • Development of a report template and preparation of a total of ten country reports
  • Preparation of summary synthesis reports on source market and competitor analysis with central results, conclusions and recommendations for the destination Malawi
  • Development of two training programmes for the target groups of the private sector and public tourism institutions in order to impart key findings regarding the aspects of market development and product development
  • Implementation of a total of five training workshops in Malawi
